Mail Service/Messenger Center

Mail & Package Drop Off:

Mail delivery to the building normally arrives from the US Postal Service prior to 11:00 a.m. The mail is received and sorted by the internal messenger center. The messenger center then delivers the mail, usually between the hours of 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Each tenant’s mail is delivered directly.

111 South Wacker Drive has a 3:00 p.m. US Postal Service pick-up. Prior to this pickup, any outgoing mail will be picked up in the afternoon from your suite between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. by the internal messenger.

The building offers the following mail drop off boxes: US Postal, FedEx, DHL and UPS. The mail boxes are located on the lobby level on the east side of the building near the parking elevators.

Messenger Center:

111 South Wacker Drive has a Central Messenger Service Center located in the dock area. The days of operation are Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The phone number to the Center is (312) 252-6345. The following is a list of procedures and guidelines:

  • The Center is responsible for facilitating the timely exchange of envelopes and packages between the tenants and outside messenger companies.
  • Messenger companies affected are local based ground delivery messenger companies (i.e. Arrow, Cannonball, etc.) National air carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, etc. will not be affected.
  • The Center will handle envelopes and small packages up to 15 lbs. Delivery of larger items will follow standard existing building procedures.

Special Instructions:
If your office is expecting an extremely urgent package or if you need to communicate special handling instructions, please notify the Center. This will facilitate a prompt and accurate delivery.

After Hours Procedures:

  • Packages that are inbound or outbound after the messenger center is closed, the messenger must be directed to the building lobby and security desk.
  • A representative from the tenant must then greet them at the desk to sign for and pick up the parcel. (as much as we would like security to hold and sign for packages etc. they are forbidden from having any type of possession or transfer of a Tenant’s mail or property)
    • Please make sure for all incoming package that the employee ordering the messenger service give a contact name and direct line phone number.
